Using Catchy Copy to Catch Eyes

Here at HMMS we firmly believe that internet marketing is the key to making sure your business is successful in today's world. The web is the cheapest advertising space you can buy and there is a void in our current local market for management services. If you are not online, or are not utilizing your web presence - you will get left behind!

Today's consumers crave 2 things:

  1. Instant Gratification
  2. Voice

Websites like Twitter and Facebook have made it possible for consumers to directly communicate with businesses. That instant feedback, whether positive or negative, makes the consumer feel like their opinion matters. It is imperative that you as the business owner respond and manage all social media feedback in a timely manner (this is where HMMS can help you). I am reminded of a time when a Twitter user blasted their insurance company online expressing their unhappiness with service. Within a matter of days their insurance company responded offering to completely rectify the customer service issue. That insurance company turned what could have been a very nasty issue into a public display of their humanity. Brilliant.

Let's say you are a business owner with an existing Facebook page with 20 likes. That means every time you post your content makes it to 20 news feeds. It also means that 20 people care enough about your brand that they want to see your updates  and specials on their daily newsfeed. If you already have a following, the worst thing you can do is not update your fans enough - this is how your posts get lost in the shuffle. Regular updates will drive more views, more likes, and more income!

A general rule of thumb is that 80% of your posts should be content and 20% of your posts should be sales messages. The new Facebook has made it easier than ever to make sure your posts are seen. Ever notice how any time there is a big trend online Facebook will group and highlight all related posts?! (ie. the super bowl, the presidential election, etc.) It is very beneficial to have your business page post about such trends when applicable - talk about getting seen!

Take a look at some stats:
51% of consumers are more likely to buy a product after following them on Facebook.
56% of consumers are likely to recommend a business after following them on Facebook.
55% of consumers follow businesses online to learn general information about the business.
61% of consumers follow businesses online to learn about discounts/sales.
